A Navan native, Geraldine qualified from Cardiff University and dental school in 1991. After completing the South Wales vocational training scheme, she returned to Ireland and worked in the HSE gaining valuable experience working with children and adults with special needs.

In 1996 Geraldine returned to Navan where she has developed Bridge View Dental into a family friendly practice caring for all from tots to seniors! Having completed numerous courses on implant dentistry she enjoys working in conjunction with periodontist Dr. Haitham Bashara in placement of implant-retained crowns.

Having always had a particular interest and skill in caring for anxious patients, Geraldine received a distinction in the post-graduate programme in Conscious sedation at Trinity College. The use of intravenous sedation enables those particularly anxious patients to receive the necessary dental care they deserve.

As active member of the Irish Dental Association, Geraldine is delighted to have been nominated by patients for the Sensodyne Sensitive Dentist of the Year awards, 2015, 2016 2017 and 2018. She is a firm believer in the importance of Continual Professional development and regularly attends hands-on courses to keep up with ongoing developments in patient care. Following her interest in facial aesthetics ,Geraldine completed her training with Professor Brian Franks qualifying her  to provide anti-wrinkle treatment and dermal fillers as part of our patients complete care.

In her spare time she enjoys spending time with her family including their new dog! Geraldine enjoys running and golf and is an active member of local and regional choirs.

Dr Haitham Bashara qualified with honors from the Tripoli Dental School and Hospital in July 1999. He then completed his masters in Periodontology & Implantology at Dublin Dental University Hospital, Trinity College in 2005. Following this Dr Bashara received his PhD in Periodontology and Implantology from Trinity College Dublin University in 2013. 

Dr Bashara specialises in the following treatments.
– Implant placement
– Periodontal surgery (flap and advance)
– Wisdom teeth extraction
– Pathological lesions excision and biopsy
– Conventional periodontal treatment
– Surgical treatment of periodontal disease: various mucogingival flap procedures, gingivectomy and gingivoplasty.
– Dental tissue procedures include root resection and tooth hemisection

As well as being a very accomplished specialist, Dr Bashara has also taught postgraduates students in Ireland/Libya/Bahrain and is a trainer in the membership of general dentistry Royal College of Surgeons Edinburgh.

Conal graduated from the University of Glasgow in 2017. In the following year he worked in general practice honing his skills in oral surgery, general  and emergency care. He continued his further education whilst in Scotland gaining his membership exams with the joint faculties at the Royal College of Surgeons England in 2019.

Whilst working alongside other cosmetic dentists over the next 3 years he developed an interest in Aesthetic Dentistry and helps his patients improve their smile. During this time he undertook further training in Manchester gaining skills from esteemed dental colleagues to achieve his Post Graduate Diploma in Restorative Dentistry. As part of the complete smile makeover, Conal provides clear aligner orthodontics in suitable cases.

Conal has a gentle and thorough approach to helping his patients delivering the smile they have always wanted. When not at work Conal enjoys playing GAA, riding racehorses and exploring new places and countries.

Aisling graduated from Queen’s University Belfast in 2016. Following a year-long Vocational Training Programme through the Northern Ireland Medical and Dental Training Authority, Aisling took up a dental core training position working in Altnaglevin Area Hospital as a maxillofacial and orthodontic dental core trainee. Here she developed her surgical skills, trauma management and an understanding of the treatment and management of oral cancer. During this time Aisling also took the postgraduate examinations and achieved Membership of the Faculty of Dental Surgery, Royal College of Surgeons, Glasgow.

Aisling then moved to Scotland and completed a second year of dental core training in Dundee Dental Hospital, working in a special care department. This consisted of working with dentally anxious patients, pre and post oncology, medically compromised and vulnerable adults. Here Aisling developed her intravenous sedation skills and management of anxious patients. 

Aisling completed a third hospital year in Dublin Dental University Hospital, Trinity College Dublin. She took up the post of Senior House Officer (Prosthodontic). Here she developed her understanding and management of complex restorative cases along with post oncology case management and reconstruction involving implants. She continued to work with medically compromised patients with adjunctive uses of sedation.

Currently Aisling is completing her intravenous sedation qualification. She enjoys all aspects of general dentistry and in particular, she enjoys helping anxious patients overcome their dental fears.

In her spare time Aisling enjoys travelling, walking, and keeping fit – she particularly enjoys Pilates and kettlebells.

Sandra Clarke: Hygienist

The practice hygienist is Sandra Clarke who provides comprehensive oral hygiene treatment and oral hygiene instruction. Sandra is highly experienced in the aftercare of patients who have implant-retained restorations.

The role of the hygienist is to help prevent the progress of gum disease. Treatment ranges include the following:

  • Treatment of gingivitis (bleeding gums) by scaling and polishing
  • Dietary advice
  • Oral hygiene instruction
  • Application of fluoride and fissure sealants
  • Removal of unsightly marks and surface staining
