Established in 1964 by her father, the late Dr Colm Irwin, Geraldine Honan as developed the practice into a patient-centred, high quality professional and caring dental practice.

Relocated from Bedford Place to 3, Mellows Terrace, Bridge View Dental boasts a state of the art facility and provides modern, professional and efficient dental care to its patients, from tots to seniors!

We have always recognised the importance of creating and maintaining good dental habits in children. This helps to ensure good dental health into the future. Therefore ‘Kids go Free’ at Bridge View Dental! Children under 12 years can avail of a free dental examination!

Dr. Geraldine Honan B.D.S.

A Navan native, Geraldine qualified from Cardiff University and dental school in 1991. After completing the South Wales vocational training scheme, she returned to Ireland and worked in the HSE gaining valuable experience working with children and adults with special needs.

In 1996 Geraldine returned to Navan where she has developed Bridge View Dental into a family friendly practice caring for all from tots to seniors!
Having completed numerous courses on implant dentistry she enjoys working in conjunction with periodontist Dr. John Crotty in placement of implant-retained crowns.
Having always had a particular interest and skill in caring for anxious patients, Geraldine received a distinction in the post-graduate programme in Conscious sedation at Trinity College. The use of intravenous sedation enables those particularly anxious patients to receive the necessary dental care they deserve.

As active member of the Irish Dental Association, Geraldine is delighted to have been nominated by patients for the Sensodyne Sensitive Dentist of the Year awards, 2015, 2016 2017 and 2018. She is a firm believer in the importance of Continual Professional development and regularly attends hands-on courses to keep up with ongoing developments in patient care. In her spare time she enjoys spending time with her family including their new dog! Geraldine enjoys running and golf and is an active member of local and regional choirs.


Dr. Doireann Ridge B.Dent.Sc.

Dr. Doireann Ridge has been providing dental care at Bridge View Dental since 2014. Doireann qualified with an Honours Degree from the Dublin Dental Hospital.

A firm believer in the importance of continuing professional development, Doireann regularly attends post-graduate courses and has recently obtained training in implant restoration, cosmetic restorative techniques and oral surgery.

Doireann is an active member of the Irish Dental Association and a committee member of the ‘Women in Dentistry’ network.

Dr. Leo Collazo B.Dent.Sc.

Dubliner, Dr. Leo Collazo qualified from the Dublin Dental Hospital at Trinity College. While he enjoys all aspects of General Dentistry, Leo has a particular interest in Oral Surgery and Endodontics.

Leo is an active member of the Irish Dental Association and believes in continually developing his professional skills. Leo is a fitness fanatic and enjoys an eclectic range of music in his spare time.

Dr. John Crotty

Dr. John Crotty qualified in Cork Dental Hospital in 1992 and worked in general practice for 20 years in both the UK and Ireland. During that time he completed a Degree in Maths and the Classics, a Masters in Chemistry and a Masters in Health Informatics. In 2012 he completed his Fellowship examinations in the Royal College of Surgeons, England and undertook 3 year full time postgraduate training in Periodontology and Implant therapy.

He received certification from the European Federation of Periodontology in 2015. He was awarded the Claffey prize for research by the Irish Society of Periodontology in 2015 and is actively involved in both education and research.

Sandra Clarke: Hygienist

The practice hygienist is Sandra Clarke who provides comprehensive oral hygiene treatment and oral hygiene instruction. Sandra is highly experienced in the aftercare of patients who have implant-retained restorations.

The role of the hygienist is to help prevent the progress of gum disease. Treatment ranges include the following:

  • Treatment of gingivitis (bleeding gums) by scaling and polishing
  • Dietary advice
  • Oral hygiene instruction
  • Application of fluoride and fissure sealants
  • Removal of unsightly marks and surface staining
